The Great Holloween Parade - 2011

Had a great time in my parade. Looking at all the blinking and shining lights really made me feel special. Even though people thought that my crown and sash was my costume, let them know they represent my state title. Being in the spot light received alot of numbers from businesses and military personel that would like me to do appearances for them. This was just the door I need to open up for bigger and better things. Get ready my pageant sisters, for now I am ready for my big debue in the Mayor's Christmas Parade in December. Looking forward to all that this wonderful pageantry has to offer. And will give back, by making the system proud to have me on board.

My New Crown Has Arrived

These are my first stepping stones to My Journey to
The Crown. This is my pride and joy to helping special and talented women like myself reach for the stars. Being a real beauty queen take time and sacrifice, and I am willing to do what is necessary to reach my sisterhood and bring them hope of one day making the journey to their crown.

Let My Journey Begin!!

Jackie – It is an honor and privilege to represent single women as Ms. Maryland. After my surgery in January of this year, I had eye opening experiences that led me to the wonderful world of pageantry. Having a lot of stumbling block in my life that kept me from my dreams in my early years, now have the courage and strength to pursue my Journey to the crown. Out of my first marriage, my life was blessed with two children and a sweet grandson.  Since this is my first pageant; am thrilled to represent myself as a lady should with grace and poise and confidence; in my Journey to the crown.
At this time I don’t have a platform, but is seriously considering doing a study about diabetes, because losing most of the immediate people that the lord blessed my life with really hit home for me. My medical history is great because going to the doctors on a regular, found out I do not have it, but my youngest brother does. He has type 2 diabetes. The one thing that I can say about him is that his will to fight and battle this disease is encouraging to me, even though I don’t have it. I check on him often to make sure he is doing all that is necessary to keep him in good health.
As Ms. Maryland I will inspire, encourage, and motivate family and my community to get regular checkups as often as they can, so that in the event that they have this killer of human life, it can be detected and treated in a timely manner. This pageantry system for me has great substance and integrity, so joining this wonderful system, it will help me enlighten other women to follow their dreams, and to go where their hearts leads them; hopefully to their own journey to the crown.
