The 39th Mayor's Christmas Parade

Being in this event gave my heart joy and satisfaction. It took place on December 4th at 2 p.m. in the Hampton area. Riding on the back of dean's car made me feel like real royalty and waving at all the spectator on both sides of the street was great. they came up to the car and took pictures with me and talked with me and also touched me. Not a bad day I say so myself. They encouraged me to reach for the stars and make all of my dreams come true. And I also did the same for them.

I even passed out my cards and photos to those women who wanted to sign up to be beauty queens also. Overall I had the time of my life and will be in these types of events for as long as I can and try to strive and empower women of all ages to reach for the stars and make THEIR JOURNEY TO THE CROWN!!!!

The person that was suppose to take pictures dropped my camera and exposed my film, but this  is the only one I have that my daughter took, when I returned home from the parade.

The Holiday Book Fair

I was very blessed and honored to participate in this special and wonderful event. The holiday book fair is a annual event given by a bunch of volunteers who get together to make our children's Christmas a little special with the giving of books, gifts, and very special readings by very special guests such as myself. this was a very great day for me reading to all the children and letting them know that someone always has their best interest at heart  and worth taking time out to make sure their education does not slip through the cracks. The Holiday Book fair will be an annual event for me, so that they will know that it was not about my crown and sash, but caring for them and seeing them through the holidays.
