I am very proud as to how well my interview went, and how well my platform will help millions of people realize that without being diagnosed and tested early and a lot of onset complications will set in and if not treated will lead to very disastrous consequences. My goal is to get this information out there by any means necessary to the community and help them realize that they do not have to fall pray to this silent killer.
Please take a look at my interview and if at all possible take this information to your family and friends, who knows you may even save a life. And doing this for me I would have accomplished my goal. www.splashandsparkle.com.

The B More Healthy Expo
Today was a great day. I had the honor and privilege of promoting my platform which is diabetes awareness and also my pageant system which is the United States All World Beauties Pageant system. I gave out all of my cards and mingled with the community and was trying to let them know to get tested and diagnosed early, so that if they are at high risk, they can catch it early and manage to live a better quality of life with a strict and healthy diet, exercise even if it is just walking for 30 minutes a day, and follow their doctor's instructions to the letter. I am very passionate about this cause because of my family members that I have lost and those that are still struggling with this silent killer. In my effort and reign as Ms. Maryland, will advocate to get just one person to get to their doctor's office and get diagnosed and treated early and if I can accomplish this, then I will have save one life. And thanks to my pageant system for giving me a chance to do a great work for a great cause. See you all in June.

FINDING YOUR PATH TO BREAST HEALTH SEMINAR
I was blessed to be apart of this wonderful event today. I enjoyed the speakers and all of the information received in helping more women be aware of how you can beat breast cancer and do not have to be a static, but a survivor. After seeing and meeting new people in this event will be attending the race in October to work in the tent, to cheer on the sisters and mothers and daughter that will be working to combat this disease of all of mankind, because men get it also. This event was to support my sister (Mrs. Maryland) in her new position as ambassador and also for her platform such as this.

RESEARCHING THE STASTICS FOR DIABETES
The diabetes epidemic in our country is on the rise. Already nearly 26 million Americans have this disease and 79 million more have diabetes. In fact if we don't act now 1 in 3 Americans will develop diabetes by 2050. the cost of diabetes and it's complications including undiagnosed diabetes was estimated at $218 billion dollars in the year 2007. Every 17 seconds someone in our country is diagnosed with with silent killer. 120 undergo amputations, and 230 enter end-state kidney disease programs.
73% 0f the donations go to researching cures and advocacy services. This is a personal venture for me only because my niece and younger brother has this killer of mankind. They both have type 2 diabetes and have been struggling with this disease with regular exercise, a strict diet, and taking the medication that the doctor prescribes for the;on the horizon could see them living a health and happy life. Once I found out that most of my family has this silent killer, then lost most of my family to this disease decided to be an advocate for helping people become more aware of how not knowing about this silent killer can be detrimental to your health.
There are two types of diabetes: Type 1 Pre-diabetes which means that the blood glucose falls between normal and diabetic levels, and this means you can have this before developing type 2diabetes and heart problems. In short, the pancreas stops making insulin. Type 2 diabetes is when the pancreas produces some insulin, but is not used well. the definition for diabetes is a disease that affects the way the body uses food. It causes the blood glucose levels to be too high.
The mission of the American Diabetes Association is to prevent and cure diabetes and improve the lives of all people affected by this disease. the association fulfills its mission by funding research and publishes its findings to the public and their families and also health care providers;so that we as a people can get tested early and live longer healthy lives. And in closing, my mission as Ms. Maryland and even after my reign will still work closely with the American Diabetes Association to help find a cure to help all Americans of all nationalities.

A REALLY SURPRISING DAY
Just got off from work and went to walmart to buy a couple of things, mainly a little valentine gift for my baby girl. And then a gentleman came up to me and asked me was I Ms. Maryland and DID I just do the Martin Luther King Jr. Parade, and I responded yes, He said that I was very beautiful and keep up the great work. that made me smile considering my day started off kind of rocky. This situation made me feel very special and like real royalty. It feels really nice to be noticed outside of my crown ans sash sometimes, and I gave him my autograph because he said he wanted something to remember me by. MY JOURNEY HAS BEEN VERY ENJOYABLE AND VERY SPECIAL. thank you lord for all that you do for me. all of my weaknesses are being repaired due to my experience with this great pageant system that I am a part of. UNITED STATES ALL WORLD BEAUTIES NATIONAL PAGEANT.
